Students in Mrs. Vorsteg's second grade class at O.C.E.S. researched, wrote and illustrated a book, "Amazing Animals" and had it published. Pictured with copies of the book are Ellie Smith, Mack Ashton, and Zoie Zupon.

OCES fourth grade science students had the opportunity to work with WCPS Coach of Instructional Technology and Innovation, Nick Genovesi. Students learned how to create interactive presentations using the Numbers app on their iPads. Students will use this program to share the information they have been gathering for their animal research projects. The culminating activity for the unit will be a field trip to the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington, DC.

Donuts with Grown-Ups is this Friday!

The OCES Art Dept. wants to thank all of you who have placed orders for your student's beautiful artistic creations from Art To Remember. It's not too late to still place orders. We just added more student art recently. Check out the additional choices you have on the Art To Remember website.

This QR code will take you directly to the website also, where you just type in your student's name and you will be able to view their artwork and order keepsakes and gifts with their art on them. These are great for Father's Day.
